Charlie Moore kept his Bullard Panthers in the District 14-AAA playoff hunt as he led the Panthers to a 15-14 win over the Brownsboro Bears last Friday night in Brownsboro.

Trailing 14-12 with 4:09 left to play in the game the Panthers started their drive 98 yards away from paydirt on their own two-yard line.

Moore was not fazed by the poor starting position as he connected with Chad Hollie for a 35-yard completion down the Panther sideline.

Two plays later Moore hit Hollie once again this time for 40 yards driving the Panthers deep inside Brownsboro territory.

Geoff Dick ate away the clock on four runs for a total of 16 yards before the Panthers lined up for a field goal to earn their first lead of the game.

With 11 seconds left on the clock Moore's line-drive kick barley crossed the goal post to give the Panthers a 15-14 lead.

To secure a playoff spot the Panthers will need to defeat the Canton Eagles this Friday night at home in Bullard.

The Panthers did not allow the Bears to score in the second half of play and held Brownsboro to just three second half first downs.
