Maggie Lynn Martin

Services for Maggie Lynn Martin, 88, of Bullard were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at First Assembly of God Church, Bullard, with Bro. Jack Daniels officiating.

Burial was at Bullard Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Bullard.

Mrs. Martin died Sunday, Oct. 21, in Whitehouse.

She was born Jan. 12, 1919, in Smith County. She lived in the Bullard area for 57 years. Mrs. Martin was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Bullard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Alma Scruggs; brothers, Weldon Scruggs and Gordon W. Scruggs; and sister, Ethel Wright.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Arthur E. Martin, Bullard; three brothers, Leonard Scruggs of Jacksonville, Walton Scruggs of Seffner, Fla., and Wyatt Scruggs of Mansfield, La.; sister, Laura Jones of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Nolan Scruggs, Wendell Scruggs, Rhamy Morrison, Jimmy Tucker, Max Hoffman and Dathan Tucker.

Honorary pallbearers were Elmo Scruggs, Doug Scruggs and Gary Christensen.
