Mission House sets fund raiser

On Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, Eagles Bluff Country Club will be the site of a funfilled day of golf, games, silent and live auctions concluding with dinner in support of the Bullard Mission House.

The Mission House, a faith-sponsored community outreach project, is located on S. Phillips St. and provides a medical clinic, food pantry and clothes closet to the needy.

The entire community is invited to participate in the fund-raising events, which support the Bullard Mission House services.

Events include a golf tournament, ladies card games, silent and live auctions and dinner at Eagles Bluff Country Club on Lake Palestine in Bullard.

The registration fee to play golf is $100 per player (including dinner).

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Shotgun Start at 12:30 p.m.

Lady's Day Games, which will include Bridge and Mah Jongg, costs $25 per participant (including dinner), and will begin at 1 p.m. Please bring your own boards if you wish to play Mah Jongg.

In the evening, an informal dinner (costing $20 per person for nonparticipants of golf or the card games) will be served starting at 5 p.m

The Silent Auction will conclude at around 5:30 p.m. and the Live Auction will follow.

Local businesses are supporting this fun day. Hall Buick of Tyler has donated a 2008 Crew Cab truck as a hole in one giveaway.

Please come out and enjoy a great day of golf or cards, or just come for dinner and the auctions.

The live auction will feature bidding on a one-week stay at a 4-bedroom vacation home in the Palo Alto Golf Community of Ruidoso, N.M.
