BULLARD PROMOTES CHARACTER
BISD elementary school counselor Sherrie Moore meets with every class once a month to learn about a certain character trait. The students are encouraged to practice that trait and make it a part of who they are so they "can all become people with fine character," she said. September's character trait was honesty. Moore said it's difficult for the teachers to pick the one student who exemplifies that trait the best. Pictured are the students who won recognition for the "Bullard Kids of Character for Honesty." Their pictures are displayed in the hallway by the school office for the entire year. Moore said she and the rest of the staff look forward to concentrating on responsibility for the month of October. Kindergarten students pictured above are: Tristen Shewmake, Harrison Meador, Logan Bridges, Christopher France, Ethan Hooks, Aailiyah Love and Abby Smith. First grader are: Jensen Smith, Jackson Roberts, Kaleigh Yates, Allan Covey, Rachel Shumate, Brayden Herrington and Dylan Yancey. Second graders are: Kassidy Robertson, Lacey Warren, Maddie Rodgers, Hood Taylor, Conner White, Rylee Davis, Reece Ricketts. Third graders are: Hannah Lloyd, Timothy Gehling, Patrick Krause, Audrey Dean, Sarah Campbell, Kyle Bochow and Tyler Gates.
