! Bullard High School Band is being featured until Oct. 11 in KLTV's Battle of the Bands. Voting continues through midnight on Thursday. Everyone is allowed to vote once a day. ! Bullard Elementary is holding its annual fall festival from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at the school.

! After unloading at 7 p.m. Oct. 12, the Emerald Bay Scholarship Committee will begin its annual garage sale in the Bullard High School parking lot. The sale picks up again at 7 a.m. Oct. 13 and ends at 2 p.m. This is the sixth year the group has held a communitywide garage sale, with proceeds go to scholarships for qualifying BHS and Brook Hill students.

! Power and Praise Tabernacle Baptist Church is holiding a "Halloween Alternative," from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31. The church is offering free food and candy for all ages. The church is located at 22525 Hwy. 155 S., Flint. For more information, call Patsy at 903-681-2748.

! Bullard "Moms In Touch International" meets from 2-3 p.m. every Tuesday at the home of Rena French. The group is two or more moms who meet for one hour each week to pray for their children, their schools, their teachers, and administrators. For more information, call Anne Moody at 903- 825-7171.

! The Bullard Rotary Club meets at 6:30 a.m. every Thursday at Hondo and Shorty's.

! The Bullard Community Library holds story hour for children every Thursday at 10 a.m.

! The Bullard City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month in council chambers at city hall.
