BULLETIN BOARD
! The Cherokee County Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m., Monday Oct. 1, with special guest speaker State Comptroller Susan Combs. The meeting will be held at The Woods of Jacksonville Restaurant (formerly Cherokee Country Club), 14881 U.S. 79E, Jacksonville. All members are encouraged to attend and bring a friend. ! The Smith County Chapter, American Red Cross will be holding a Babysitter's Bootcamp from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Red Cross office in Tyler. In this one day course, students will learn how to best: supervise children; chose safe and appropriate toys; handle bedtime issues effectively; keep children safe in the house or outside; perform first aid, including responding effectively to lifethreatening emergencies; feed infants and prepare simple meals and snacks for children and perform basic care routines, such as diapering, feeding and dressing infants and children. In this special course the students will also receive Red Cross Infant and Child CPR certification and will be visited by a member of the Tyler Fire Department to discuss safety and making a 911 call. Students can call the Red Cross Chapter in Tyler for information of how to register at 903-581- 7981.

! Bullard "Moms In Touch International" meets from 2-3 p.m. every Tuesday at the home of Rena French. The group is two or more moms who meet for one hour each week to pray for their children, their schools, their teachers, and administrators. For more information, call Anne Moody at 903- 825-7171.

! The Bullard Rotary Club meets at 6:30 a.m. every Thursday at Hondo and Shorty's.

! The Bullard Community Library holds story hour for children every Thursday at 10 a.m.
