Duo named All-Tournament players

The varsity Lady Panthers finished with consolation in the Championship bracket of the a previous tournament in Carthage.

The team defeated Beckville in each game25- 16 and 26-24, as well as Pittsburgh 25-10 and 25-23.

The ladies went three games with Carthage but were defeated, 18-25; 25-22 and 18-25.

The girls were then second place in the pool were they played Robert E. Lee but were defeated 17-25 and 28-26.

The Panthers came back to beat Nacogdoches out of three games, the first loss 25-21 followed by two wins, 25-12 and 25-23.

The players were then matched with Arp who they lost to in the first of three game, 23-25 and then came back to win with scores of 25-16 and 25-23.

Ashley Davis scored four aces and Allison Burton had nine digs all against Robert E. Lee. Calli Miller left with a .558 hitting percentage and 21 kills against Nacogdoches.

In the final game Whitney Lust had 29 assists as well as three aces.

Lady Panthers Calli Miller and Allison Burton were chosen as player for the All-Tournament Team.

They then competed in the All-Tournament game.

Miller played as outside hitter and Burton as libero, a defensive player.
