Golf tournament, game day benifits the Bullard library

The Friends of the Bullard Community Library will hold the second annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Bullard Community Library at Eagle's Bluff Country Club on Monday, Sept. 17. Sponsored by Cavender's Boot City.

The tournament will be a four-player scramble with prizes awarded to first, second and third place teams as well as prizes for closest to the line and closest to the pin.

Additionally, a golf cart donated by Tyler Golf Carts, Inc. will be awarded to the first player to make a hole-in-one during the tournament.

Registration for players will begin at 10:30 a.m. and a hamburger buffet lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The tournament will begin with a Shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

After the tournament there will be a wine tasting and silent auction, sponsored by Chalk, Cullum and Ford of Ft. Worth.

A new event for this year will be a Ladies' Game Day featuring Bridge and Mah Jongg.

Game players will be served a soup, salad and baked potato lunch at 11:30 with games being played from 1-4 p.m.

Prizes for the game winners will be awarded to the players with the highest and lowest Bridge scores as well as to the Mah Jongg player with the most Mah Jonggs.

Decks of cards and scorecards will be provided for Bridge players. Mah Jongg players should bring their own sets. Bridge players should also enter as a part of a foursome.

The entry fee for golfers is $75 per player. The game day entry fee is $25 per player.

All proceeds will benefit the operations budget of The Bullard Community Library.
