LETTER TO THE EDITOR
To all property owners of Lakeway Harbor at Lake Palestine,

Thank you for voting an overwhelming "Yes" vote to begin work on our deplorable roads.

We have had meeting after meeting with no decisions being made so this was a big step forward.

Of course there are always some that put a negative spin on everything.

Our commissioner Mrs. Fleming had read the law that states Smith County could never take over our roads that was determined when the subdivision was built years ago.

We can now pay just $200 per year for one lot with $100 per year on additional lots. This can even be paid on a pay out plan.

I feel sure anyone can afford approximately 50 cents per day for one lot.

Of course we cannot be sure how long it will take to complete the roads as we have no way of knowing how many will step up to the plate and willingly pay.

Anyone with any pride in their community will surely do so. It will not bother me if I pay for many yearsas the good roads will save car repairs, raise property values and make us not embarrassed to envite folks to visit.

I personally am not rich and continue to work full time even though I'm retirement age, but I have paid my $200 and hope many others have done the same.

Sincerely,

Harriet Harden Lakeway Harbor, Lake

Palastine
