Local author offers insight

"The funeral is over. Family and friends have gone. Now what?"

Tate Publishing LLC has announced the release of their new book The Widow's Might: The Strength to be a Victorious Survivor by East Texas author, Jan Thompson.

The book reveals the author's personal battle through the first year of widowhood: the loneliness, uselessness and the overwhelming grief.

In honest and vulnerable language the book offers spiritual insight that can only come from one who has "been there."

Help for the bereaved, but also for those who minister to them - pastors, counselors, family members will better understand how to relate and minister to the widow. All may benefit from this unique and important book.

A Texas native and artist, Thompson retired from the fashion industry and now resides near Jacksonville, Texas where she continues to write for such other projects including a romance novel and a women's gift book.

Jan and her husband, Jim, have four children and five grandchildren.

"We are honored to present The Widow's Might and want to introduce it to as many market venues as possible right away," Rita Tate, Director of Marketing for Tate Publishing said, "but especially to the author's local community first."

The book may be purchased nationwide from any bookstore, or online through several Internet web sites including amazon.com and walmart. com.

You may also email orders@tatepublishing.com to order the book.

It is also available as an audio book.
