Firefighters turn out to honor their own

Bullard Fire Chief Keith Newburn said all they can do now is begin to heal.

"The boys have been asking me if the pain ever goes away," he said. "And it doesn't.

"There's a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. Every day, it's like a shovel full of dirt goes into the hole - the pain starts to diminish - but it will never be filled."
