Church invites public to Three Days of Praise'
The event includes the renowned group, "The Southern Joy Quartet," and performers Larry and Freida Sinclair. The event is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 29 in Teaselville. The Southern Joy Quartet began as a trio back in 1997 primarily singing in local churches or local events. "Rudy, Joe, and Elton knew the Lord must have had a greater calling on our ministry at the time, but were unclear as to what extent," church members said. In 2000, the stage was set and all the pieces seem to be in place, for the beginning of a journey to share the gospel through music. "The Lord has opened so many doors for us and we are sure that many more are to come," quartet members said. Some memorable concerts and events were opening for Ivan Parker, being nominated for the award, "Inspirational Group of the Year," by the Coast to Coast Country Association, being on radio, both AM 660 KSKY and FM 91.7 KVTT, and opening for the Melody Boys at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth. Larry Sinclair sings, does chalk art and preaches after his drawings. Freida does ventriloquism and adds to their service in many other ways, sharing testimonies and teaching the noon services. Larry has been in full-time vocational evangelism for more than 30 years. Three of these years were spent singing with the "Followers Quartet." Larry and Freida - along with their children - began a local church ministry. "Because of their multi talents and God's anointing on their ministry they are called upon to do a variety of services," church officials said. |
