Tourney set for June 15
      Landmark Title, Inc. serves as presenting sponsor for the Kyle Lake Foundation's inaugural golf tournament. The event will be held Friday, June 15 at Oakhurst Golf Course in Bullard. Tee time for the four man shotgun scramble is at 1 p.m. with a complimentary fish fry at 5:30 p.m.

Farm Bureau offers hunter education
      Hunting season will be here before long and the Cherokee County Farm Bureau wants to make sure hunters are prepared. The Farm Bureau is sponsoring a Hunters' Education course on Aug. 7-8. This is a two-day course from 8 a.m. to 1p.m. with lunch provided.
