Abernathy signs with Hendrix

CONWAY, Ark. -- The Hendrix College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the commitment of an outstanding student-athletes to one of our athletic programs.

Daniel Abernathy of Bullard, has committed to the Inaugural Hendrix College men's lacrosse team.

While at Bullard High in Texas and Summit High in Oregon.

Abernathy earned an impressive 10 varsity letters in his high school careers, including four in track and field, three in football, one in basketball, one in tennis and one in power lifting.

During his football career, Abernathy earned All-District 2nd Team honors as a punter.

Despite playing five sports, Abernathy's resume off the field is as impressive as his one on the field.

Abernathy has earned the National Science Merit, Who's Who Among American High School Students, National Society of High School Scholars and U.S. Achievement Award honors.

Hendrix, founded in 1876, is a selective, residential, undergraduate liberal arts college emphasizing experiential learning in a demanding yet supportive environment.

Selected this year by the Princeton Review as the nation's No. 4 "best value" college, Hendrix is a member of Project Pericles®, an organization that promotes civic engagement among college students.
