The Lady Panther's softball season has come to an end as the ladies were defeated 6-1 and 8- 5 Friday evening.

The girls have shown Panther fans a great season taking them all the way to playoffs for only the second time in school history.

Kristan Bell having been lacking her chances at bat proved herself in the final game with an over the fence home run.

"I had been struggling at bat but when it was most important to me I came through to end the season on a good note," Bell said, "Overall it was my best year yet because of the friends I have made on the team."

As the only senior on the team it was important that Bell's last year be a good one. Her name has passed through college halls but only one has caught her attention, East Texas Baptist University, she plans to attend next year where she'll take her softball career to the next level.

The rest of the team, being so young, has some more time to spend on Panther soil.

The teams success has been attributed to the bond they made early in the season and with all but one player continuing into next year there is no telling how far they may go.

Freshman Erin Kipp has made a name for herself early on with he no-hitters and overall great pitching performance.

Valarie Roberts has had here time in the spotlight after the countless homeruns she has made through the season.

Along with Allison Burton who proved to be as fast catching behind the plate as she is between the bases.

There's no telling what the future holds for these girls but it promises to be bright.
