Audry Owens awards $5,000 in scholarships

The third annual Audry Owens Memorial Ranch Rodeo was held was held April 25 at Circle K Arena near Bullard.

More than 600 people attended the fund-raising event.

Due to everyone's generous support The Audry Owens event was able to award five $1,000 scholarships to deserving seniors in the East Texas Area.

Recipients were Taylor Fountain and Justin Hill of Bullard, Margo Kahla of Alto, Kyle McKnight of Jacksonville, and Sarah Roberts of Flint.

In order to be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a career in an agricultural related field.
