The Bullard Panthers baseball team was defeated in their first district game 3-0 by Athens Tuesday night.
Travis Eudey pitched a solid game allowing just four hits with 7 strikeouts and one walk. All the runs by the Hornets were unearned due to four errors.
"We did not execute defensively or offensively," Coach Dent said, "When you play anybody you cannot give them four and five outs an inning. Hopefully we will learn from this and improve."
The boys then went on to compete against the Van Vandals Friday night.
The Panthers once again suffered a 5-3 loss. Nikki Rumbelow went five innings and then was relieved by Austin Camp.
The boys hit early and quit hitting after the second inning they couldn't find their swing.
The loss brings the Panther to 7-12 for an overall record and 0-2 for district play. The boys will face Brownsboro next in a home game set for March 30 at 6 p.m.
