Bullard takes fourth in tourney

The Panthers baseball team didn't receive much of a break last week as the boys were busy traveling and racking up wins before district play begins.

Over Spring Break the boys first went to compete in the Lindale-Van Tournament March 8-10.

On Thursday the boys defeated Elkhart 4-2 with Nikki Rumbelow pitching for the win.

The same night the boys were defeated 7-0 by Lindale.

On Friday the boys started by defeating Rusk 7-6 after coming back with 7 runs in the last two innings.

The boys then went on to win their game against Spring Hill 13-3 behind a solid hitting attack and pitching by Cameron Agnew.

On Saturday the Panthers claimed fourth place in the tournament after a 6-5 loss to Mineola.

Bullard then defeated Wills Point 7-1, March 15, the win was attributed to the pitching of Nikki Rumbelow and Charlie Moore's hitting.

On Friday the team traveled to Sulphur Springs to compete in a close match though they were defeated 4- 3.

They Panthers will play Van next in Bullard, March 23 at 6 p.m. in the second district game of the season.
