Vandals down varsity; JV victorious over Van

The varsity Panthers took on the Van Vandals once again Feb. 13 and were defeated 77- 61 in a fast paced and evenly matched game.

The loss then left the boys tied with Brownsboro for 3rd in district, to determine who went on to Bi-District playoffs both teams faced of in Lindale.

Friday night the Panthers prevailed against the Brownsboro Bears with a 51-39 victory.

The Panthers did not let go of the lead and every time the cheerleaders said "We want a basket Panthers," that's exactly what the got.

Austin Camp led scoring with 16 points; Raymond Cooper, 11; Lance Anding, 8; Chris Manning, 5; Josiah Rosebury, 4; Daniel Howard, 3; Charlie Moore, 2 and Robby Barkley, 2.

The Panthers will go on to play the Crandall Pirates at 8 p.m. in Wills Point in the first round of bi-district playoffs.

JV takes victory over Van

The junior varsity boys were the only team to prevail against Van Tuesday night, the boy left with a 47-32 victory.

Bullard worked hard to hold the lead the majority of the game and all their efforts paid off.

Daniel Howard led scoring as he hit for 21; Brandon Beavers, 10; Jacob Whatley, 7; Ryan Rumbelow, 4; Josiah Rosebury, 3; Shawn Stephens, 2.

Freshman team suffers loss

The freshman boys couldn 't gain the lead over the Vandals as they suffered a 47- 23 loss. Fast passes may have been the key though turnovers gave the Van an advantage.
