R.D. Nash

Graveside services for R.D. Nash, 80, Bullard, formerly of Palestine, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Mount Zion Cemetery, Apple Springs, with the Rev. Donnie Howard officiating under direction of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home, Lufkin.

Mr. Nash died Feb. 9, 2007, in a Tyler hospital.

He was born March 19, 1926, in Trinity County to Rob and Dessie Jeffrey Nash.

He was a retired oil field contractor for Fisher Roustabout Co.

He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Bassett Road Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Nash, in 2002.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Magee, Livingston; brother, Donald Nash, Huntsville; one grandson; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
