Bullard Middle School Band competes at UIL Region 21 solo/ensemble

On Saturday, Feb. 10, 39 members of the Bullard Middle School Band traveled to Nacogdoches to compete in solo contest.

This contest is for individuals to be judged on their preparation and ability.

The following students received Division II ratings (excellent) on their solos:

Blake Hopkins, Doug Lake, Taylor Morris, Haylee Murphy, Blaine Reicher

The rest of the students received Division I ratings (clearly outstanding) on their solos:

Jake Bickerstaff, Heather Anding, Samantha Phillips, Savannah Pinion, Emily Voyles, Kylee Nichols, Josh Whatley, Maddison Malone, Stormy Kearney, Jordan Vickers, Hannah Dahms, Samantha Blakeney, Ben Nash, Alyssa Myers, Chelsey Orr, Sean Hawthorne, Julia Warden, Crystal Hill, Rebecca Rudolf, Kayla Morris, Walker Roach,

Hillary Walker, Robert Keith, Cassandra Braaten, Bryse Cheek, Isaias Medina, Austin Wallace, Jerimias Medina, Lacy Hurst, Ryan York, John Gardner, Kelsie Bowles, Max Martin and Zach Fullen.

Band directors are Michael Oglesby and Larry Prather. The students were accompanied on the piano by Michelle Hurst.
