Donkey b'ball set for Thursday

The hilarity will continue for a second year as Bullard High School's Key Club makes plans for their second DonkeyBall Basketball game.

Scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Bullard Middle School gym, this fund-raising event supports projects for the club all year long.

Junior and senior students will take on Bullard ISD faculty and staff members in an evening of good, clean, family entertainment.

Coaches, teachers, a vice-principal, technology director and even a BISD school board member will take the floor in an attempt to claim the championship.

"This is a great family event for a great cause," said Key Club co-advisor Tabitha Hippler. "You can take your entire family out for an evening of fun for less than you could take them to a movie."

In fact, elementary and intermediate students are offered free donkey rides as part of halftime entertainment.

Pre-sale tickets are $5 each and are available from any Key Club member.

Tickets may also be purchased at Bullard High School, Austin Bank, and Brookshire's in Bullard.

At the door, tickets will be $7 each.

Children under 6 are free. Part of the proceeds from this event will help support the Bullard Community Library building fund, leadership training events for students, and other worthwhile causes throughout the year. Donkey Basketball
