Panthers fall to Lions, Wildcats in tourney

The Wagstaff Holiday Basketball Classic began this past Wednesday and the Panthers were there giving a tremendous effort.

But the 56-52 victory was claimed by Henderson. In their first game of the session, the Panthers faced off against the Henderson Lions.

Henderson took the lead in the first quarter though Bullard quickly made up the points.

The Panthers maintained the lead through the second and third quarters, only to come up just a few points shy when the final buzzer sounded.

Leading scorers for the night included Lance Anding, 17; Austin Camp, 10; Andrew Barron, 8; Josiah Roseburry, 7; Raymond Cooper, 5; Robby Barkley, 4 and Chris Manning, 1.

On Thursday the Panthers went up against the Whitehouse Wildcats and came crashing down in a 60-37 loss.

Bullard held off the Wildcats in the first half heading into half time with only a three-point lead.

Whitehouse came back with a vengeance, only letting Bullard score one point in the third and going on to win.

Raymond Cooper tried to keep the Panthers head above water adding 20 points. Lance Anding, 7; Daniel Howard, 3; Josiah Roseburry, 3; Austin Camp, 2 and Andrew Barron, 2.

Lady Panthers leave Tigers in the dust

Bullard's Lady Panthers took on the Malakoff Tigers in the Frankston Classic Thursday ending in an overwhelming win for the Panthers.

The girls left Malakoff in the dust all night leaving with a 64-20 victory.

Sarah Welling led the team once again with 18 points, Kanda Carter, 13; Elisa Lee, 8; Clarissa Kendrick, 8; Natalie Gray, 7; Kayla Welling, 4; Calli Miller, 4 and Mallory Red, 2.
