FBC Rusk sets Cherokee Evangelism Conference

Mark your calendars to attend the Cherokee Evangelism Conference Jan. 14-17.

First Baptist Church Rusk will host the conference in their new facilities at 372 E. 4th St. (Loop 62).

Service times will be Sunday, at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14. Monday, Jan. 15 - Wednesday, Jan. 17 services will be noon lunch and 7 p.m.

Speakers will be Bailey Smith, Don Harms, Bob Pittman, Justin Todd Herod and Don Cass.

Smith was the youngest man ever to serve as the President of the Southern Baptist Convention. Don Harms is pastor of FBC Porter.

Pittman is pastor of Kirby Woods Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn.

He is dean of Adrian Rogers Center for Preaching at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Herod will be the speaker at the special Youth Pizza Blast at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15. Justin has been nominated for CCMA awards as well as musician of the year and Music Evangelist of the Year.

Don Cass will speak at the Wednesday noon luncheon. Don is evangelism director for the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention.

Special music includes:

The Jim Bob Griffin Family and Terry and Connie Easley each night, Friendly Baptist Church of Tyler Choir will sing Monday night.

The Singing Men of East Texas will sing Tuesday night, and First Baptist Church of Porter Choir and Orchestra will sing Wednesday night.

David Darst pastor of Hilltop Baptist Church in Alto will sing at the noon services.
