! The Bullard Independent School District will hold a public hearing to discuss the 2005-2006 annual performance report. Sections of the report include: academic excellence indicators for the last school year, district and campus objectives, violent and/or criminal incidents, student enrollment and academic performance. The meeting is set for 5 p.m. at Jan. 15 at the school's administration building, located at 1426 S. Houston St.

! The Smith County Retired School Personnel Association will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.9. The meeting will be held at the Plyler Instructional Complex 807 W. Glenwood St., Tyler. Tyler accountant Johnathan Ludlaw will talk about investments for seniors, avoiding scams and answer general finance questions. Everyone is invited. ! The Texas A&M Singing Cadets will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at First Baptist Church, 301 W. Ferguson St., Tyler. Known as "The Voice of Aggieland," the Singing Cadets are an all-male chorus that performs more than 60 concerts each year throughout the United States and overseas, Tyler Aggie Mom's Club Director of Publicity Jana Magee said. The Singing Cadets perform a variety of music including religious, patriotic, Broadway and school songs. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Austin Bank, Old Bullard Road, Elaine's Dress Shop in Jacksonville, Elliott's Pharmacy in Hideaway, the Lindale Mail & Shipping House, First Baptist Church in Tyler, and from any member of the Tyler A&M Mother's Club. This is a major fund raiser for student scholarships, Magee said.
