Jeremy Jones of Bullard is the 2007 fall semester recipient of a service scholarship at The University of Texas at Tyler, Dr. Lou Ann Berman, assistant vice president for student success, announced. Jones, a UT Tyler junior, received the Bonnie and Scott Palmer Service Scholarship. More ... November at Bullard Elementary was full of character building. Students learned about "Compassion" and how important it is to care about other people's feelings. Teachers and staff discussed how important it is to show compassion for those who have less that others. Bullard Elementary thanks Subway this month for providing students with free cookie coupons Sonic for contributing last month's gift coupon, and Chicken Express for September's free meal card. Counselor Sherrie Moore congratulatedBullard Elementary's Kids of Character with Compassion. The outstanding students that model compassion the best on a consistent basis are: Kindergarten: Courtney White, Bryson Luscombe, Abby Grissom, Daylan Robinson, Abby Petty, Ariel Matula and Hailey McCutcheon. First grade: Scott Gay, Neil Hayes, Sarah Petty, Emily Coyne, Hannah Todd, Lilah Lacroix and Patrick Granberry. Second grade: Luke Bowman, Hayden Shaddox, Hunter Kafka, Austin Skaggs, Raven Craver, Abbie Richardson and Marissa Self. Melissa Dawn Gilbreath and Jeffrey David Barker both of Whitehouse were united in marriage on Oct. 27, 2007, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville. The 54 club members were headed to a presentation of "Las Aventuras de Don Quixote" by the National Theater for Arts & Education, LLC. The Middle School bands will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 18 at in the Middle School Cafetorium. Refreshments will follow the concert. The High School Concert Band and the Jazz Band will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 in the Bullard High School gymnasium. Prior to each concert, the Bullard Band Boosters will hold a Silent Auction. A wide array of items will be offered for auction.
