Posen's perfume a done deal
Zac Posen will be at the beauty counter beginning in 2009.
That's the targeted debut of his signature fragrance, the result of a partnership with Selective Beauty.
Posen is the first U.S. licensee for Selective Beauty, which already has deals with Agent Provocateur and John Galliano.
Posen envisions his fragrance as blending allure and surprise -- and a part of a woman's "glamour routine."
Sylvie Ganter, president of Selective Beauty US, says that the company pursued Posen after months of researching and consulting retailers to identify a brand that was synonymous with "modern luxury."
Tick-tock for tots
For the kids who soon will need to keep track of school bells, soccer and singing practice, Flik Flak's newest collection of watches can help,
Flik Flak falls under the corporate umbrella of the Swatch Group Ltd., which makes Swatch, Tissot, Omega and Breguet watches, among others. These watches incorporate the playfulness and the rainbow of colors that Swatches are known for, but the faces have easy-to-read numbers, with different sets of numerals to keep track of hour and minutes. The glass is scratch resistant and the entire watch can survive going through the washing machine in case it gets stuffed in a pocket.
The fall motifs include Tweety bird, stunt biking, graffiti, flowers mixed with candycolored skulls and crossbones, and a frog prince.
