Discovery Science offers free fun
The fourth week in April is dedicated to celebrating Week of the Young Child, which promotes Early Childhood Education.
The Discovery Science Place will begin the week with an invitation only kick off ceremony with Smith County Sheriff J.B. Smith.
The morning will be filled with fun activities for our young invited guests.
Join The Discovery Science Place as it celebrates this event by having a Free Family Fun Night on April 24.
The museum will be open Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free to the general public.
There will be activities, provided by Evelyn James from the Tyler Public Library, Smith County 4-H will bring a furry friend or two, Linda Kunze from Caldwell Zoo will also be on hand, and the Tyler Police Department will be bringing Officer Just B. Safe to talk to the children about safety.
The Discovery Science Place is a non-profit, hands-on learning environment whose purpose is to open young minds to science, technology, math and cultures. Located at 308 N. Broadway in Tyler, it is supported by grants, donations, admissions, memberships and special events.
