BMS take top slots in tourney
The Bullard Middle School 8th and 7th grade girls took first and second place, respectively, in last weekend’s basketball tournament held at Bullard. The 8th grade girls won their first game against Rusk, 24-17. Scorers were Christina Hatten-11, Ally Covalt-8, Taylor Hadjison-2, Sarah Cargill-2 and Felicia Sigman-1. And won the championship game

against Frankston, 28-15. Scorers were Christina Hatten-6, Crystal Hill- 4, Felicia Sigman-4, Ally Covalt-4, Mandy Gillard-4, Sarah Cargill-4, and Macey Brown-2. The 7th grade girls won their first game against Rusk, 35-14. Scorers were Samantha Phillips-7, Erika Delatorre-6, Emily Voyles-4, Kandus Hines-4, Rachel Horten-3 and Savannah Pinon-1. They lost during the championship game to Frankston, 18-31. Scorers were Savannah Pinon-5, Samantha Phillips-4, Emily Voyles-4,Stormie Theone-3, and Erika Delatorre-2. They placed second overall in the tournament.
