BULLARD BASKETBALL
Welling leads Lady Panthers to win

The Lady Panthers varsity played an outstanding game Tuesday night against the Alto Yellow Jackets. Bullard girls achieved a 77-27 victory led by Sarah Welling with 16 points and Kanda Carter, Mallory Red and Elisa Lee who each scored 12 points.

Natalie Gray and Amber Baker each hit for 7; Ashley McConnell, 6; Kayla Welling, 3 and Clarissa Kendrick added 2 points.

The girls record is now 11- 7 and are set to play Malakoff next in the Frankston Classic at 2p.m. Thursday Dec. 28.

Junior Varsity

The Junior varsity girls squashed the Yellow Jackets as well in a 57-7 victory.

Leading scorer for the night was Ashley Ricci who hit for 16, Emily Philpott added 15; Emmy Long, 6; Ashley Phillips, 6; Heather Camp, 5; Susan Lowrie and Kailee Schmitz each scored 4. Panthers take last-minute victory

Bullard Panthers’ varsity boys faced off against the Jacksonville Fightin’ Indians Monday and in the last four seconds of the game Lance Anding scored the two gamewinning free throws bringing the final score to 57-55.

Lady Panthers crushed the Alto Yellow Jackets bringing Bullard’s record to 11-7.
Coach Tomlin attributes the victory to the defense who worked hard to keep the Indians at bay.

Leading scorers for the night were Lance Anding with 21; Austin Camp, 18; Cameron Agnew, 8; Robby Barkeley, 4; Andrew Barron, 4 and Jose Torres, 2.

Junior Varsity

The Junior varsity boys also fared well Monday against the Indians. Though the boys were trailing behind in the first half they switched things up after half time and won 64-56.

Josiah Rosebury led the team with 19 points; Raymond Cooper, 14; Daniel Howard, 12; Nicky Rumbelow, 11; Brandon Beavers, 6 and Jacob Whatley hit for 2.

Though the freshman Panthers held a five point lead in the first quarter as the night went on the Indians found a rhythm and left the Panthers with a 56-52 loss.

Sydney Lawson hit for 17 points; Marquez Franklin followed with 13; William Wood, 12; Koby Greene, 4; Stephen Head, 4 and Christopher Braaten, 2.
