Who’s Who selects 2005- 2006 high school honorees

The 2005-2006 honorees from Who’s Who Among American High School Students, The National Dean’s List, The Chancellor’s List and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers were announced this month.

High school students, student athletes, college students, and teachers from the area will be included in these national publications.

Students included in the 40th Annual Edition of Who’s

Who Among American High School Students were selected by more than 7,000 nominators, which included high school faculty members, coaches, administrators, youth organizations, civic and community service groups, along with advisors and coaches from recreational activities and community programs.

To qualify students must :

! be enrolled in grades 9 through 12.

! have a “B” or better

grade point average. ! be involved in school or community related extracurricular activities.

Similar criteria are used to select the honorees for Who’s Who Among American High School Students - Sports Edition, The National Dean’s List, and The Chancellor’s List.

Educators included in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers are nominated by current or former students and eligible youth organizations.
