      John Tyler and Robert E. Lee headlined the 12th Annual Tyler Ford Hoop Heaven Basketball Tournament, which began Thursday and ran through Saturday at Lindale High and Junior High schools. The Brook Hill Lady Guard emerged triumphant over Brentwood and Dallas Lutheran.

Lady Panthers earn consolation prize
      In the championship game, Whitehouse guard Mitch Marquis gave an MVP performance Saturday at the Tyler Ford Hoop Heaven Basketball Tournament at Lindale High School. Marquis scored 27 points to lead the Wildcats past Lufkin 73- 53, capturing the school's first-ever Hoop Heaven Division I trophy.
