Bullard Girl Wins AQHA Honors

Suzanne M. Wright of Bullard was a top finalist in Yearling Geldings with Montserrat, a 2005 sorrel American Quarter Horse gelding, during the Bank of America Amateur competition at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show, The event was held Nov. 4-18 in Oklahoma City.

The AQHA World Championship Show awards more than $2.2 million to 2,822 entries from 49 states, six Canadian provinces and the United Kingdom.

To qualify for the invitational event, horses must have earned a predetermined number of AQHA

points in approved shows from Aug. 1, 2005 to July 31, 2006.

The AQHA World Championship show is scheduled to air at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 7 on NBC.
