Dorothy Barnard

Services for Dorothy Barnard, 88, Bullard, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bullard Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Barron officiating.

Burial was held at 3 p.m. at Salem Cemetery, Irene, under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Bullard.

Mrs. Barnard died Nov. 21, 2006, at a Tyler hospice.

She was born May 25, 1918, in Irene to the late Frank Reed and Leta Barnes Wilson. She lived in Jefferson and Vidor prior to moving to Bullard five years ago.

She worked in retail sales marketing, and was a member

of Bullard Southern Baptist Church and Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene Barnard, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include son, Joe Barnard, Vidor; daughter, Dolores Bowman, Bullard; sister, Jimmie Wilson, Mabank; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Barry Bowman, Bill Toon, Randy Barnard, Keith Barnard, James Motley and Tommy Motley.
