The Cherokee Civic Theatre's doors open for the Holiday Season with an adaptation of the Frances Hodgson Burnett Classic "A Little Princess."

Adapted and Directed by Castanya George Elledge and Jessica Breen-Ford, the Cherokee Civic Theatre's Christmas play "A Little Princess Christmas," runs Friday through Sunday, Dec. 1-3, with loads of Christmas spirit!

Showcasing a wide range of local talent, the show tells the story of Sara Crewe.....once rich, happy and much loved; reduced to wearing second hand clothes, starving and known as the "girl in the attic."

Her days are spent cleaning floors, but her nights are reserved for her beautiful dreams and storytelling.

Sara always has a smile for her former classmates and many stories to tell.

Her imagination transports them from their day-to-day boring lessons, neglectful parents and a mean headmistress, to a magical, happy time with wonderfully, imaginative stories. Sara shows them that dreams -- especially

Christmas dreams, can come true -- if you believe. To her former classmates Sara becomes their own "Little Princess."

The theater is a nonprofit corporation and has served the East Texas community for more than 30 years.

The Cherokee Civic Theater invites you to see if Sara's Christmas Dreams come true, with shows on Friday and Saturday Dec. 1-2 at 7:30pm and a matinee on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2pm.

For ticket information call the box office 903-683-2131.
