Thanks to voters, workers, whole community wins

The "FOR the Future of Bullard ISD" committee would like to take this opportunity to say "THANK YOU" and congratulations to the citizens of Bullard ISD.

Most importantly, THANK YOU to the voters of this district, to the financial contributors for this effort, and to the volunteers in the field.

The passage of this bond proposal represents your willingness to do what it takes to continue this district's pursuit of providing a top-notch education for all BISD children.

Your vote of approval also signifies a commitment to this community and its families.

That commitment will become evident during the beginning of construction and renovations, and will be ultimately revealed through finished products that exemplify Bullard's sense of pride, our dedication to the entire school system, and our wonderful sense of community.

I would personally like to take a moment and recognize a group of first-class individuals who dedicated precious time and efforts to a cause they believed to be right, and a plan they knew stood for the greater good.

John Alexander, Terry Boyd, Pam Frederick, Michael Roy, Sharon Roy, Sam Smith, and Paul Stone answered the call.

Together, we formed the "FOR" committee with the sole purpose of getting the facts and importance of this bond proposal out to the citizens of this community.

We wanted to make sure this mission was accomplished on a personal, honest and sincere level, and we intended to make sure no one could look back and say more should have been done.

Mission accomplished!

The future of Bullard ISD has been charted, and the facilities and improvements that are now in motion will certainly have a wonderful, lasting and beneficial impact on the students and families of this district, as well as the Bullard community as a whole, for years to come.

A special thanks as well to Lori Thomason at the Bullard Banner for her accurate and in depth coverage of this entire issue.
