Surcharge added

to water bill Beginning on Bullard city's current water bill, consumers will see a $1 increase. The decision to add the surcharge was made during the 2006-07 budget deliberations. The money will be used to pursue more water sources for consumers. Those with questions may call 903- 894-7223.

Library group to

OK bylaws The "Friends of the Bullard Community Library" invite all interested persons to an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at the library. The "Friends" are a group of supporters who work to promote the use and enjoyment of the library. The "Friends" will approve bylaws at the meeting. Officers and directors for 2007 will be chosen. Vest-A-Dog Three Bullard Middle School students are raising money to purchase a bulletproof vest for Axe, Bullard Police's canine. The group is asking for jars and cans for collecting money, businesses owners or managers who would allow a collection spot at their business, and, of course, cash donations. Jacksonville College

sets performance On Nov. 16, 17 and 18, the Theater Program at Jacksonville College will present J. B. Priestley's drama, "An Inspector Calls." Performances will be held at Buckner Chapel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There will be a Saturday matinee beginning at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the business office or the bookstore at the school and at Marie's Christian Book Store. Bullard Southern holds

craft fair Bullard Southern Baptist Church, Bullard, will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, at the church located at 716 N. Houston St. Offerings are all hand made and include: ceramics, crochet, needlework, paintings, crafts and more. Proceeds will benefit local and community mission projects.
