BULLETIN BOARD
Next week, the Bullard Banner News will be delivered a day later than usual. This is so we can get local election results in that week's edition. While you may see the tallies in other mediums, we can provide the local and detailed information other newspapers aren't able to give. More than any other election in recent past, this Nov. 7 marks a lot of changes for Bullard. We ask you all to vote, but before you do so, educate yourselves. We have a school bond proposal, an emergency services district and a half-cent sales tax referendum to decide upon, and each one will somehow change the face of Bullard. ! Bullard Band Boosters will be holding their fall garage sale on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the gazebo in downtown Bullard. In case of inclement weather the sale will be moved to the high school band hall. To donate items for the sale, please call the Bullard High School at 903-894-3272 and leave a message for Gary Jordan to arrange for pick-up or drop-off. ! Bullard ISD will honor veterans with a program at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the BHS gym. The program will include a salute to the armed forces, recognition to military veterans and remarks by the Rev. Donnie Barron. All area veterans and the rest of the community is invited to attend. ! The East Texas Multiple Myeloma Support Group invites anyone interested to meetings, held the second Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 409 Cotton St., in Gladewater. For more information, call 903- 858-2332. |
