Bullard Lady Panthers announce volleyball scores

Bullard varsity volleyball players have been very successful in recent games. In the right photo, the Bullard varsity team members, celebrate a big shot for a point against Chapel Hill.Bullard rolled to a 3-1 win in matches played Friday at Bullard against Chapel Hill.
The Bullard Middle School volleyball teams lost to Brownsboro on the road on Sept. 25.

The Bullard seventh grade B team was defeated by 15-25, 21-25, 17-11. Coaches named outstanding players as: Rachel Horton, Heather Anding, Katie Shumate and Rachel Rieger.

Brownsboro defeated the eighth grade A team 25-14, 25- 18, 4-7. Top server was Macey Brown. Other standouts includes Kelsie Bowles, Lindi Leisure, Cheyanne Clay and Lauren Alexander.

The Bullard seventh grade A squad lost by 25-17, 25-13 scores. Outstanding servers were Tawni Newburn and Erika Delatorre. Top players were Sarah French and Samantha Phillips.

The sweep by Brownsboro was complete as the Bullard A team fell by scores of 29-27, 25-19 and 25-23. Named top servers were Ravien Whatley and Mandy Gillard. Outstanding players were Sarah Cargill, Christina Hatten and Felicia Sigman.

In Sept. 18 competition at Canton, Bullard teams were hard-pressed for a victory, securing just one win.

The Bullard eighth grade A team defeated Canton 25-23, 25-21. Outstanding servers were Alayanna Kipp and Ally Covalt. Top players were Ally Covalt, Nikki Fuller and Chris Hatten.

The seventh grade B team lost to Canton 18-25, 25-16, 7- 14. Outstanding servers were: Lorrie Farrow and Megan McCoy.

The Bullard B team tied Canton, 25-19, 17-25, 4-4. Standouts were Taylor Linam and Lauren Alexander.

Canton defeated the seventh grade A team from Bullard by scores of 21-25, 13- 25. Outstanding players were Erika Delatorre and Madison Malone.

The Bullard ninth grade volleyball tournament was held with the home team taking fourth place.

Bullard won over Quinlan 25-20, 25-18.

Standouts were Brittany Glover, Ariel Hamby and Emmy Long.

Mabank took a 12-2-5, 21- 25, 5-25 victory over Bullard

Top players were Glover and Madison Moore.

Bullard lost to Harmony 18-25, 17-25, 21-25.

Standouts were Glover, Susan Lowrie and Hamby.

In other recent ninth grade play, Bullard defeated Athens 25-5 and 25-13. Glover had 14 points.

The middle school teams from Bullard registered home wins over Chapel Hill in Sept. 7 competition.

The seventh grade B team down Chapel Hill 25-8, 13-4. Outstanding server was Tawni Newburn. Other standouts include Danyelle Johnson and Jennifer Satterwhite.

Bullard defeated Chapel Hill in eighth grade B team competition 25-25,18-19. Top players were Lauren Alexander, Rebecca Rudolf and Taylor Linam.

The seventh grade A team whipped Chapel Hill 25-13, 25-12. Outstanding servers were Erika Delatorre, Kylie Nichols and Laci Campbell. Outstanding player was Stormie Thoene.

The Bullard eighth grade A team downed Chapel Hill 25-18, 25-16. Outstanding players were Crystal Hill, Ally Covalt, Mandy Gillard and Cortney Morren.

The Bullard ninth grade squad lost to All Saints on Sept. 12 in road action.

Bullard was defeated 25- 16, 22-25, 6-15. Outstanding players were Brittany Glover, Kailee Schmitz and Kelsey Robertson.

The middle school teams split games played at Van in recent volleyball action.

The Bullard seventh grade B team defeated Van 25-13, 25-21, 14-12. Top players were Sharleen Smith, Katie Shumate, Rachel Rieger, Dixie Smith and Heather Anding.

The eighth grade B team was defeated by Van 15-25, 19-25. Outstanding servers were Taylor Linam and Rebecca Rudolf.

Bullard's seventh grade A team lost to Van 18-25, 10-25. Tawni Newburn was named the outstanding server.

Van won the eighth grade A game by scores of 10-25, 20-25. Crystal Hill was recognized by coaches as the top server..
