Master gardeners release guide

The 2007 Northeast Texas Gardening Guide and Calendar is now available to area gardeners.

Written by the Smith County Master Gardeners, a volunteer organization of Texas Cooperative Extension, the calendar provides a wealth of information for the NE Texas region.

The guide lists a monthby month "to-do" list on plant care; bed preparation; pest, disease and weed control.

This year the Guide will also feature information on Texas Superstar plants, Earthkind Roses, Hummingbird and Butterfly Gardens, Edible Gardens, Water Gardens, Companion Planting. And Organic gardening.
