TJC's Phi Theta Kappa chapter to host volunteer fair on Nov. 29

Tyler Junior College's Alpha Omicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will host its 2006 TEAM (Together Everyone Accomplishes More) volunteer fair 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 29, in Rogers Student Center .

"TEAM Fair is planned to promote volunteerism in the local community," said Zoila Mojarro, Phi Theta Kappa vice president of leadership. "It will give the public an opportunity to

learn about the volunteer needs of community organizations and to sign up for volunteer work."

To date, organizations signed up to participate include: Salvation Army, Hospice of East Texas, the Literacy Council, Tyler Police Department- Volunteers in Policing, Texas Office of the Attorney General, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Department of Family Protective Services, Children's Advocacy Center of Smith County, and Stewart Regional Blood Center.
