It was a "season of prayer" on the Brook Hill campus last week as the community joined together in honor of National Day of Prayer. About 100 people attended the second annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast - in conjunction with the annual event.

Bullard post office poised to help `Stamp Out Hunger'

On Saturday, May 10, Bullard Letter Carriers will again help "Stamp Out Hunger" across America with the public 's help. Now in its 16th year, the "Stamp Out Hunger" effort is the nation's largest single-day food drive, with letter carriers having collected more than 836 million pounds of food from postal customers since its inception.

Isaac Maple earns Scout's top honor

Isaac Maple, son of Mark and Lisa Maple received his Eagle Scout award in a Court of Honor ceremony on May 3 at Bullard Southern Baptist Church's Family Life Center. This is Boy Scouting's highest award and is earned by fewer than 5 percent of all scouts that enter the scouting program.

Haven Hughes of Bullard was named the Regional All Around Champion of all Level 8 gymnasts her age in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico and Wyoming. Hughes and teammate Apryl Hansen train at Texas East Gymnastics under Coach Martin Parsley, Stacy Panfil-Parsley and Shelly Dalene.
