Memorial golf tourney slated
      Rockin’ C Ranch opened registrations for the seventh annual Dr. Robert Hood Memorial Golf Classic scheduled Friday, March 26, at Eagle’s Bluff. Proceeds will go directly towards the various programs of the camp.

BHS takes second at TKG’s Fly Hill Relays
      TYLER – The boys and girls track teams took second place in respective divisions this past Thursday, at McCallum Stadium on the T.K. Gorman campus. Carthage won the boys division, outpointing the Panthers 147-130. Center took third as a team, with 94 points, while T.K. Gorman slipped by Brook Hill for fourth place 94-60.

Lady Panthers softball struggles in Center tourney; three tough losses against ranked teams
      CENTER – The Lady Panthers softball team is still searching for some answers, in time for district play set to begin Tuesday, March 16, after dropping three games in the Center Tournament this past weekend. Alto handed Bullard the first setback on Thursday, with a 5-3 win over the Lady Panthers.

      KILGORE - The Bullard Panthers baseball team got a big wake-up call this past weekend, winning one game and losing three. Hallsville took the Panthers down on Thursday morning in the 9 a.m. game, with a 3-0 setback for the Panthers.

     The Bullard junior varsity played host to eight teams in a tournament at Panther Field this past weekend. Bullard went 2-2 for the tournament, with wins over Lindale (2-1), and Pine Tree (5-3).

Brook Hill wins Pollock Baseball Tournamant
      POLLOK – The Brook Hill Guard got a combined three-hitter in the championship game from Drew Robertson and Jared Dickey, as Brook Hill beat Shelbyville, 9-2, to to take the top spot in the win over Shelbyville for the championship of the Polk Oil Classic at Pollock High School.

Chappelle and Spradlin named to TAPPS all-state team
      WACO - The state-runner Brook HIll Guard placed two players, Jeremey Chappelle and Mason Spradlin, on the TAPPS All-State teams recently released. Senior guard/forward, Chappelle was named to the first team, adding to his league MVP award earlier.
